Introducing The Barakat Trust’s 2026 Grantees

From the many strong applications we received this year, the Academic Advisory Committee of The Barakat Trust had the difficult task of selecting a select few to be awarded grant funding. The 24 grants that we were able to fund take us to 14 different countries.

There is huge diversity in the types, locations, and durations of the projects that we fund each year. Some projects are classroom based, others at archaeological sites. Some projects involve just one person, others involve multiple teams. Some projects take a few days, others take months. Some projects begin immediately, others will take place later in the year.
