Engagement Coordinator
Hugo Cook studied Egyptology and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford (BA), and Egyptology at the University of Cambridge (MPhil).
In addition to promoting the work of the Barakat Trust, Hugo is the Tutor of Egyptology at City Lit teaching courses at the British Museum, and has taught widely about the history and culture of the Middle East. He has a broad range of experiences in the field of heritage, particularly in promoting the cultural heritage of the MENA region and generating public engagement in this area of interest. He has written books, worked on major documentary series, and created popular educational content for social media with tens of millions of views.
