All applicants are advised in writing of the decision on their application within a few working days of the relevant Academic Advisory Committee meeting.

If the application is successful, the letter will be accompanied by a copy of The Barakat Trust’s standard Terms and Conditions of grant, which must be signed  and returned promptly.

You will also be required to complete a Payment Request Form detailing the bank details of the institution that will receive the grant money on your behalf.

Please note will only make payments to institutions.

Payments are made by bank transfer and take a couple of weeks from receipt of request, providing any or all relevant conditions have been met.
