Muneer Elbaz has more than 16 years of experience in the cultural heritage field. He holds a master’s degree in architectural conservation from Cairo University in 2007. From 2005-2009, he worked in Historic Cairo and Lahore  on different cultural heritage projects for the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC). Since 2010 till until today, Muneer has worked at the University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS)- Gaza, Palestine. Beside his academic activities, he works as consultant in different cultural heritage projects in Palestine and Saudi Arabia.

Muneer is currently involved in two cultural heritage projects in Gaza: the conservation of the manuscripts of the archive of the Great al-Omari Mosque, and the Conservation of the Historic Qaysareya. Both have received support from The Barakat Trust. The al-Omari Mosque Archive Conservation Project was the recipient of the grand award from ICCROM Sharjah.
